Woodstock FC Grassroots coaches are enthusiastic individuals with effective communication skills and a willingness to learn! The coach provides a positive learning environment helping children to develop their soccer skills while having fun and remembering that player development, not winning is the main goal.
How do I Become a Coach?
1) Get your NCCP#
2) Take the on line *Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders course, the Rule of Two online module and the NCCP Emergency Action Plan on line workshop.
3) Take the NCCP-approved Canada *Soccer Grassroots Coach Education Workshops available on line. Coaches must complete a workshop for each level they coach:
U4 and U5 Active Start
U6-U8 Fundamentals
U9-U12 Learn to Train
U13 and up Soccer for Life
To access the online theory component of the course, coaches can purchase a key from the Canada Soccer Coach Education Store.
Once the key has been acquired, it can be redeemed at the Canada Soccer Academy.
